Persian Art Exhibition 18-20 April 2019

 

Iranian Community of Western Australia cordially invites you to visit our Persian Art Exhibition at City Art Space in Northbridge, Thursday 18th to Saturday 20th April 2019, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The Exhibition will present a beautiful and fine collection of various Persian art forms including calligraphy, painting, miniature and mo’aragh or mosaic art on wood, created by talented and creative local Iranian artists.

Persian art or Iranian art has one of the richest art heritages in world history and has been strong in many media including architecture, painting, weaving, pottery, calligraphy, metalworking and sculpture. At different times, influences from the art of neighbouring civilizations have been very important, and latterly Persian art gave and received major influences as part of the wider styles of Islamic art.
